Keep Your Spray Foam Certification Current
Maintaining an active spray foam installer certification is an important part of meeting the requirements of the Site Quality Assurance Program (SQAP) for the certified spray foam products you install.
Pinnacle West works with Urethane Foam Consultants (UFC) as the third-party Site Quality Assurance Program provider for our certified spray foam products. UFC administers installer certification, annual certification renewals, quality assurance requirements and field surveillance as part of the SQAP.
Why It Matters
A SQAP provides an independent framework for helping ensure certified spray foam products are installed by properly trained and certified installers following the applicable installation standard, manufacturer's requirements and quality assurance procedures.
Maintaining an active certification allows you continue to meet the requirements necessary to install the spray foam products covered by your certification.
Annual Renewal vs. 5-Year Recertification
Your full spray foam installer certification is valid for five years, but your certification status is reviewed annually to confirm that you continue to meet the requirements of the Quality Assurance Program.
Annual Certification Renewal
Each year, certified installers must maintain their certification in good standing with UFC. The annual renewal process helps confirm that the installer continues to meet the requirements of the SQAP. Once the applicable renewal requirements have been completed and accepted, the installer's certification can remain active for the following certification period.
5-Year Recertification
Every five years, installers must complete the required recertification evaluations to maintain their certification. UFC's certification requirements include both a written evaluation and practical evaluation as part of the five-year recertification process.
